Heavy Traffic In Maha Kumbh Ahead Of Last Snan On Maha Shivratri
Maha Kumbh 2025: Prayagraj experiences heavy traffic as devotees flock to the Maha Kumbh Mela for holy dips at the Triveni Sangam.

The Maha Kumbh city, Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj, has been witnessing heavy traffic as the devotees continue to reach there to participate in the Kumbh Mela and take holy dip at the Triveni Sangam.

Huge traffic was also witnessed on Chungi to Jhusi road in Prayagraj due to the crowd of devotees going for Maha Kumbh Mela.

Three significant snans have been completed on Makar Sankranti, Mauni Amavasya, and Basant Panchmi.

The final snan will take place on the occasion of Maha Shivratri. Ahead of this, crowd control measures are being taken at Ayodhya Dham Railway Station, which will see a huge influx of visitors from Prayagraj and Varanasi.
DSP Yashwant Singh said, as quoted by news agency ANI, "We have increased alertness ahead of the Maha Kumbh snan on Mahashivratri. Additional security has been deployed here, after which the total number of personnel deployed here is more than 350. Barricading has been done all around. A holding area has been set up and passengers are being brought here. We are making regular announcements for trains so that they stay aware. They are being given entry only after their train arrives at the platform. We are ensuring that the number of passengers on the platform does not exceed its capacity... All arrangements are in place..."

Till 8:00 AM on Sunday, about 31.70 lakh devotees have taken the holy dip. The number of devotees in the Maha Kumbh, which started on 13 January, has crossed the figure of 61 crore.
