Surge In Crime In Bihar
Bihar is witnessing a disturbing surge in crime, with violent incidents reported almost daily across multiple districts. The opposition has launched sharp attacks on the Nitish Kumar-led government, accusing it of losing control over law and order in the state.
The gravity of the situation is evident from a string of back-to-back crimes reported in July alone. From the stabbing of a youth in Madhubani on July 1st to the murder of a businessman in Patna on July 10th, and multiple killings and shootings in Nalanda, Sitamarhi, Madhepura, and Begusarai — the state appears to be in the grip of unchecked criminal activity. Notably, even high-security zones in Patna like Kankarbagh have seen open firing in public parks.
