Farmers' Protest March From Noida To Delhi Today, Know Routes To Avoid As Borders To Be Barricaded

Farmers led by Bhartiya Kisan Parishad will march towards Delhi on Dec 2. Gautam Buddh Nagar Traffic Police has issued an advisory with alternative routes annoucing heavy barricading at Delhi-NCR borders.

A farmers' march to Delhi is scheduled for Monday, with Bhartiya Kisan Parishad (BKP) leader Sukhbir Khalifa confirming the plan. Speaking ahead of the protest, Khalifa stated, “We are ready for our march towards Delhi. Tomorrow, on December 2, we will start our march towards Delhi from under the Maha Maya flyover. At 12 pm, all of us will reach there... and demand our compensation and benefits as per the new laws.”

This comes as other farmer organisations, including the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha (KMM) and the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM, non-political), have planned their marches towards Delhi on foot beginning from December 6.

Noida Traffic Police Inform Routes To Avoid As Areas Bordering Delhi To See Heavy Barricading

In response to the march, the Gautam Buddh Nagar Traffic Police has issued a detailed advisory to inform the public about potential disruptions. During the demonstration, barriers will be set up at all borders connecting Gautam Buddh Nagar to Delhi, where both Delhi and Gautam Buddh Nagar police will conduct intense checking. Traffic diversions may be implemented depending on congestion levels.

Motorists are strongly advised to avoid the affected routes and to consider using metro services to minimise travel inconvenience. The advisory also states that all freight vehicles will be restricted from using key routes, including the Yamuna Expressway and Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, as well as the route from Sirsa to Parichowk towards Surajpur.

Alternative routes have been outlined for commuters:

  • Vehicles from Chilla Border to Greater Noida should take the Sector 14A flyover, continue through Golchakkar Chowk in Sector 15, and proceed via Sandeep Paper Mill Chowk and Jhunjhpura Chowk.
  • For those travelling from DND Border to Delhi, the suggested route is the Filmcity flyover, Sector 18, and the Elevated road.
  • Vehicles coming from Kalindi Border towards Delhi can take the Mahamaya flyover and proceed via Sector 37.
  • Drivers heading from Greater Noida to Delhi can take the Charakha Golchakkar, Kalindi Kunj, and other designated routes.
  • Additionally, emergency vehicles will be allowed unhindered access to their destinations during the diversions. The Traffic Helpline number, 9971009001, is available for assistance during the disruptions.

On Farmers' Delhi March, Haryana Agriculture Minister 'Won't Let Anyone Play With Law And Order Situation'

While farmers press for their demands related to compensation and agricultural laws, Haryana’s Agriculture Minister Shyan Singh Rana downplayed the protest.

"They have no issues. The previous farmers' agitation had an issue- the three farm laws. Those three laws were later repealed by PM Narendra Modi and he even apologised to them. The farmers' agitation has caused losses to Punjab," Shyan Singh Rana told reporters in Karnal.

"Rice miller industries from Punjab moved to Bihar and Madhya Pradesh... We will not let anyone play with the law and order situation in Haryana... They should talk to their Chief Minister and sort out their problems," he added.
