The Indian Navy's Eastern Naval Command hosted an Operational Demonstration in Visakhapatnam, showcasing its warships, aircraft, and MARCOS commandos.
The Eastern Naval Command (ENC) of the Indian Navy hosted a breathtaking Operational Demonstration (Op Demo) on 4 January 2025 at Ramakrishna Beach, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The event, showcasing the Indian Navy’s operational excellence and technological advancements, was attended by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu as the Chief Guest. Vice Admiral Rajesh Pendharkar, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the ENC, hosted the event.

A grand finale enthralled the audience with a traditional Beating Retreat ceremony, Continuity Drill, and a laser and drone show. The event drew lakhs of attendees, including Andhra Pradesh's Chief Justice, senior dignitaries, MPs, MLAs, local citizens, and tourists. Many others watched the live telecast of the demonstration.

Andhra CM Chandrababu Naidu Heaps Praises On Navy
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu praised the Indian Navy's valour, technological capabilities, and commitment to community outreach. Highlighting the long-standing connection between Andhra Pradesh and the Navy, he commended its critical role in safeguarding the nation’s maritime borders and fostering goodwill.
Vice Admiral Pendharkar expressed gratitude to the state government and local administration for their support in organising the event. He also acknowledged the enthusiastic participation of the people of Andhra Pradesh, stating that their involvement added immense value to the occasion.
"The Op Demo not only displayed the Indian Navy's prowess to the public but also strengthened the bond between the maritime forces and the people of Andhra Pradesh. It was a day of pride, inspiration, and unforgettable memories for all who organised as well as attended the event," the Navy stated.
