A major accident occurred at the 'Fun and Food Village' amusement park in Delhi's Kapashera area on Saturday. A 24-year-old woman tragically died after falling from a roller coaster ride. Reports suggest that she lost her balance and fell from the ride, sustaining severe injuries.
The victim, Priyanka, was rushed to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared her dead on arrival. Delhi Police have registered an FIR under sections 289/106 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and further investigation is underway.
Priyanka Visited The Water Park With Her Fiance
According to available information, Priyanka had gone to the water park with her fiance. The couple was set to marry in February 2026. They had planned a weekend outing and visited the Fun and Food Village. After trying several rides, they got on the roller coaster. As the ride reached its peak height, Priyanka suddenly fell straight down. It is suspected that she lost her balance.
Priyanka worked as a sales manager at a private company. She lived with her parents and siblings. Her fiancé said that during the roller coaster ride on Saturday evening, Priyanka suddenly fell, suffered multiple injuries, and was critically hurt. Though she was taken to a nearby hospital immediately, she had already succumbed to her injuries. Doctors later confirmed her death.
Roller Coaster Shut Down
Following the tragic incident, the amusement park management shut down the roller coaster ride. That section of the park has been closed for repairs. Meanwhile, Priyanka’s family has accused the water park of serious negligence. They claim she was not taken to the hospital in time after the fall. The family also alleges that the roller coaster area was quickly sealed off to cover up the incident. They have demanded strict action from the police against those responsible.
