A 14-year-old boy was brutally murdered near Veer Chowk Bazaar, sodomised and stabbed 24 times, his body dumped in Munak Canal, in revenge killing.

The Delhi Police have made significant arrests in the murder of a 14-year-old boy, whose body, bearing 24 stab wounds and signs of sodomy, was discovered in Munal Canal. The investigation has revealed a chilling narrative of revenge, with at least six minors among the group of 12 to 13 individuals implicated in the horrific crime.

The post-mortem examination confirmed the barbaric nature of the assault on the night of June 29-30. It indicated that the victim was sexually assaulted before being repeatedly stabbed and then disposed of.

Undercover Operation Leads To Key Arrests

In a strategic move on July 18, Delhi Police officers, operating undercover as Kanwariyas, successfully apprehended one of the prime accused, 19-year-old Monu, along with two minors from a Kanwar camp in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. This operation marks a breakthrough in the case, bringing the total number of suspects caught so far to ten.

Among those in police custody are Krishna alias Bhola (19), identified as the alleged mastermind, his brother Suraj (18), Ashmit alias Challu (18), and four minors.

A Vicious Cycle Of Revenge

Investigations have shed light on the grim motive behind the murder, pointing to a deep-seated vendetta. According to the Delhi Police, accused Krishna harboured suspicion that the deceased boy and his friends were acting as associates and informers for the Badhawar brothers, Monu and Sonu. The Badhawar siblings are currently incarcerated under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA), a law designed to combat organised crime syndicates.

"Investigations reveal that accused Krishna suspected the deceased boy and his friends of being associates and informers for the notorious Badhawar brothers, Monu and Sonu, currently jailed under MCOCA. The Badhawar brothers had beaten and humiliated Krishna during Diwali Eve in 2024. Seeking revenge, Krishna plotted the killing for months," stated the Delhi Police.

This calculated act of retribution, meticulously planned over several months, culminated in the tragic demise of the 14-year-old. The ongoing probe aims to unravel the full extent of this criminal network and ensure all involved face the appropriate legal consequences.
