Bomb Threats Hit Two Delhi Schools In Dwarka Via Email, Investigation Underway

Delhi Schools Bomb Threat: Two schools in Delhi’s Dwarka area received bomb threats via email on July 16, triggering evacuations and police action.

Panic gripped parts of the national capital yet again on Wednesday morning as two prominent schools in Dwarka — St. Thomas School and Vasant Valley School — received bomb threats via email, triggering swift evacuations and a major security response.

According to the Delhi Fire Department, emergency teams were immediately dispatched to both locations following alerts received earlier in the day. "No suspicious items have been found so far," officials told ANI.

This marks the third consecutive day of bomb threats targeting educational institutions in Delhi, sparking growing concern among parents, students, and school staff.

Ongoing Threats Raise Alarms Across Delhi

Just a day earlier, St. Stephen’s College and St. Thomas School were also targeted with similar threats. Authorities launched detailed search operations in response, but again, nothing hazardous was discovered.

Raja Banthia, Deputy Commissioner of Police (North), confirmed that St. Stephen’s College received a threatening email around 7:15 a.m. on Tuesday. The message claimed that four IEDs and two RDX bombs had been planted in the college, including its library, and ominously warned that the explosives would detonate by 2 p.m.

Police teams from Maurice Nagar Police Station, along with other security agencies, quickly cordoned off the campus and conducted an extensive sweep. The Delhi Fire Services also dispatched multiple fire tenders to the site after receiving a distress call at 8:50 a.m. Meanwhile, a separate call from St. Thomas School came in at 8:01 a.m.

Every corner of the premises was checked thoroughly. Fortunately, no explosives or suspicious materials were found, officials confirmed.

Pattern Of Email Threats Spreads Fear

The situation in Delhi mirrors a worrying trend that has continued through the week. On Monday, three schools — including CRPF schools in Dwarka’s Sector 16 and Prashant Vihar, as well as the Navy Children School in Chanakyapuri — received similar bomb threats via email. All were later declared hoaxes by security personnel.

Authorities On High Alert, Public Urged To Stay Vigilant

As investigations continue, Delhi Police and intelligence agencies are working to trace the source of these recurring email threats. Officials have not ruled out the possibility of a coordinated hoax or cyber prank intended to disrupt public life and instill fear.

While no actual explosives have been discovered in any of the incidents so far, the repeated nature of the threats has raised serious questions about security vulnerabilities and the need for digital threat tracking.
