Delhi: Massive Fire Breaks Out At Factory In Alipur, Video Shows Area Covered In Blanket Of Smoke
A large fire erupted at a Delhi factory on Saturday, prompting the deployment of 34 fire trucks.
A massive fire broke out at a factory in Delhi's Alipur area on Saturday evening and 34 fire tenders were pressed to service, said an official.
There has been no report of any injuries in the blaze and an operation was undertaken to douse the flames, said the official from Delhi Fire Services, reported PTI.
The DFS received a call regarding the fire at the factory in the Firni area of Alipur at around 4 pm, the official said.

Delhi Chief Minister Atishi called the incident worrisome and said she was personally monitoring it.

"This fire incident is extremely worrying. I have spoken to the District Magistrate, and the Delhi Government is providing all possible government assistance here. Several fire brigade vehicles are present at the spot and firefighters are trying to control the fire," said the Delhi CM in a post on X.
According to the fire officials, the warehouse was suspected to be used for storage of paper and chemicals but the exact details are not available yet.
