Kanpur Woman Slaps Man 14 Times For 'Harassing' Her In Market — Video

The incident happened in the Bekanganj Market in Kanpur, where the accused attempted to touch the woman inappropriately, sparking a heated altercation.

A high drama unfolded on a busy street of Kanpur after a man allegedly harassed a woman following which the woman started slapping him.

A video of the incident is doing rounds on the internet where the woman could be seen catching the man by his collar. In the next moments, the woman in burqa slaps the accused 14 times even as he asks the bystanders to intervene. The locals claimed that the man had been harassing women in the market regularly. 

Meanwhile, the video shows the woman slapping the accused repeatedly as he kept apologising for his mistake. The onlookers supported the woman, condemning the accused’s behaviour.

The Kanpur Police have confirmed the incident, that took place on February 25. The accused has been identified as Adnan, son of the late Abdul Mabood, a resident of Bajaria police station area. 

The incident, recorded by a bystander, has gone viral on social media. The local police soon arrived at the spot and took the man in custody. 

Responding to the incident, a police official said, "A viral video on social media, in which a man is being beaten by a woman while she accuses him of harassment, is from February 25, 2025. The local police have taken cognizance of the matter. The person seen in the video has been identified as Adnan, son of the late Abdul Mabood, a resident of Bajaria police station area."

The official further added that the accused's family has claimed that his mental condition is not stable and he is undergoing treatment. 

"The accused's family stated that Adnan's mental condition is not stable and that he is undergoing treatment. The police have taken the accused into custody. A statement regarding the investigation and necessary action has been given by Assistant Police Commissioner Anwarganj," the official added.
