'Declare Cow National Mother, Bring Law To Curb Love Jihad': Seers At Dharam Sansad

Six resolutions, including demands to declare cows as the state mother and remove the Shahi Eidgah and Mina Masjid, were passed at a religious assembly in Vrindavan, Mathura.

Mathura News: Six proposals based on religious demands were passed at the Dharam Sansad held in Vrindavan, Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh. The seers participating in the religious congregation have demanded that the government accede to their demands soon. While inaugurating the Dharam Sansad, held at the auditorium of Shri Krishna Saadhak Trust, vice-president of Akhil Bharatiya Brahman Mahasabha Biharilal Vashistha, proposed that the Uttar Pradesh government declare the entire Braj Mandal as a pilgrimage site and ban the sale of eggs, meat, liquor, etc.

The Braj Mandal area comprises sites associated with Lord Krishna. It spans several districts in multiple states on both banks of the Yamuna. These include Mathura, Aligarh, Agra, Hathras, and Etah in UP; Nuh, Ballabhgarh, and Palwal in Haryana; Karauli, Bharatpur, Deeg, and Dholpur in Rajasthan and Morena in Madhya Pradesh.

Proposals Of Mathura Dharam Sansad

Swami Rameshanand Giri proposed that the central government implement the National Register of Citizens and introduce a system of uniform education. He also urged the government to bring in strict laws to ensure population control and "love jihad". Jagan Das Rathore, who participated in the Dharam Sansad, demanded the removal of the Shahi Idgah and Meena Masjid from the Mathura Krishna Janmabhoomi complex, immediate closure of the Islamic daily prayers there, and a survey of the Shahi Idgah as soon as possible.

'National Mother' Status For Cow Back

Peepa Dwipacharaya Balram Das, who presided over the Dharam Sansad, reignited the demand to declare the indigenous cow as 'National Mother'. Earlier in February a similar proposal was passed by the seers at the ‘Gau Sansad’ held at the Magh Mela camp of Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati of Uttarakhand’s Jyotish Peeth.

Dinesh Sharma, president of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Mukti Nyas, said at the Dharam Sansad that all these proposals would be sent to the state and central governments and a demand will be made to implement them as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, the Allahabad High Court heard the case of the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi and Shahi Idgah Masjid dispute. A single bench of Justice Ram Manohar Narayan Mishra heard the case. The court fixed the next date of hearing on November 28 to decide the points of contention.
