Humid Weather Continues

Despite the forecast for rain, most parts of Bihar are experiencing a humid weather. The state's humidity levels have averaged between 60% and 80%, contributing to the ongoing discomfort.

According to the Patna weather office, a cyclonic circulation has formed over the Bay of Bengal near Bangladesh's coast, 7.6 km above sea level. This system is slowly moving west-northwest, likely creating low-pressure conditions in the Bay of Bengal’s coastal areas. As a result, rains in Bihar are expected to intensify from this evening.

The weather department’s report highlights heavy rainfall in several districts over the past 24 hours. Sitamarhi received 99.8 mm of rain, Saharsa 91.4 mm, Darbhanga 77.8 mm, Sheohar 70.02 mm, and East Champaran 68 mm. Moderate rainfall was recorded in West Champaran (60.2 mm), Khagaria (58.6 mm), Begusarai (46 mm), Madhubani (40.8 mm), Jamui (38.6 mm), Bhojpur (36.02 mm), Purnea (36.02 mm), Sheikhpura (30.02 mm), and Samastipur (24.4 mm). Light rain was observed in Nawada, Gopalganj, Gaya, Buxar, Kaimur, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Muzaffarpur, Banka, Siwan, and Vaishali on Thursday evening and night.

Temperatures across the state saw little change on Thursday, with Patna experiencing humid heat and recording a maximum temperature of 35.9°C-1.6°C higher than normal. The highest temperature was recorded in Madhubani at 37.8°C. Despite the rainfall in many districts, temperatures across Bihar remained steady, averaging between 35°C and 36°C.
