Ayodhya Ram Mandir Nears One Year Of Inauguration, But Construction Not 'Complete' Yet
Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra has announced the first anniversary celebration of the Ram Lalla idol consecration on January 11, 2025, known as 'Pratishtha Dwadashi'.
Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra has announced to celebrate the first-year anniversary of the consecration of Ram Lalla idol at the Ram Mandir. The occasion will be known as 'Pratishtha Dwadashi' and will be celebrated on January 11, 2025.
The consecration ceremony of the Ram Lalla idol at the temple was held on January 22 earlier this year with Prime Minister Narendra Modi being the master of the ceremony.
Notably, the first-year anniversary celebration is taking place on January 11 as the Trust has decided to follow the Hindu calendar and not the Gregorian calendar. According to the Gregorian calendar, the Ram Mandir was inaugurated on January 22.
The celebrations on January 11 will begin with Agnihotra with mantras from Shukla Yajurveda, six lakh recitations of the Shri Ram Mantra along with recitations of Ram Raksha Stotra, Hanuman Chalisa, and more at Yajna Mandap (Mandir premises).
The event at Yajna Mandap will take place from 8 am to 11 am and 2 pm to 5 pm.
A 'Raga Seva' will be held between 3 to 5 pm and a 'badhai gaan' from 6 to 9 pm on the ground floor of the temple. A musical recitation of the Ramcharitmanas will be held on first floor of the Yatra Suvidha Kendra.
According to media reports, the temple committee has planned to inaugurate the first floor of the temple along with the one-year anniversary celebration.
From 2 pm to 2:30 pm, a Ram Katha will be held and Angad Teela followed by discourses on Ramcharitmanas between 3:30 pm and 5 pm.
Cultural programs will be held from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
Notably, the first anniversary celebrations come amid a push in the deadline for the completion of the temple. Earlier this year, Chairman of the Ram Mandir Construction Committee, Nripendra Mishra said the construction of the entire temple will be completed by March 2025.
The first and second floors will be completed by July and December this year, respectively, Mishra said in June, according to an IANS report.
Last month, however, Mishra said that the entire construction of the Ram Mandir will take an additional three months to be ready by September 2025. Mishra said there is a shortage of 200 stone carvers, causing delays in the construction.
Structures like the auditorium, boundary, and circumambulation path are also yet to be built, Mishra said, reported the Times of India.
