Ambani-Merchant Wedding: Mumbai Police Nab 2 Wedding Crashers, Including YouTuber, For Trespassing

Both the trespassers had travelled from Andhra Pradesh to attend the Ambani-Merchant wedding in Mumbai.

Two people from Andhra Pradesh including a YouTuber were held for attending the Ambani-Merchant wedding in Mumbai without an invitation.

Ambani-Merchant Wedding: Two people were nabbed by the Mumbai police on Sunday for attending the wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant without an invitation. One of them is a YouTuber named Venkatesh Narasaiya Alluri. 

A case was registered against both of them. Alluri, 26, and another person named Lukman Mohammad Shafi Sheikh, who called himself a businessman, were taken into custody by Mumbai's BKC police. Both of them had come from Andhra Pradesh to attend the grand wedding of the son of Asia's richest man.

Mumbai police registered two seperate cases against the trespassers. They were released the accused after giving them notice and taking legal action in both cases.

The star-studded wedding was attended by numerous global celebrities, politicians, cricketers, and business tycoons. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also reached Mumbai to bless the newly-wed couple on Saturday. The Ambani family had hosted a wedding reception titled 'Shubh Aashirwad' at their Jio World Convention Centre.

Mukesh Ambani's youngest son Anant Ambani and his wife Radhika, a pharmaceutical heiress, were seen touching PM Modi's feet to seek his blessings.

The list of attendees included Bollywood icons including Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal.

Cricketers on the attendees' list were Sachin Tendulkar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Guatam Gambhir, and Suryakumar Yadav.

Former British Prime Ministers Tony Blair and Boris Johnson, Samsung chairman J Y Lee, Saudi Aramco CEO Amin H Nasser were also on the guest list.

Politicians who attended the Ambani-Merchant wedding included Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and his deputies Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav and his wife Dimple, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, and Shiv Sena (UBT) head Uddhav Thackeray.

Anant, 29, oversees the renewable and green energy expansion of the oil-to-telecom conglomerate Reliance Industries Ltd. 

The bride, Radhika Merchant, also 29, is the daughter of pharmaceutical tycoon Viren Merchant. She is the marketing director for her father's company, Encore Healthcare.
