Akhilesh Yadav's Uncle Rajpal Yadav Passes Away, Final Rites To Be Held In Native Village Saifai

Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav's uncle, Rajpal Yadav, passed away at on Thursday due to prolonged illness.

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav's uncle, Rajpal Yadav passed away on Thursday morning at a private hospital in Gurugram. He was undergoing treatment at Medanta Hospital where he breathed his last at 4 am on Thursday. 

 

Rajpal Yadav's health was not well for some time after which he was admitted to Medanta Hospital where he later passed away, according to ABP News. His demise has caused mourning in the entire Samajwadi clan with people arriving at his home since morning. The final rites will be performed at the Yadav family's ancestral village in Saifai, Uttar Pradesh. 

 

Samajwadi Party leader and Rajpal's brother, Ram Gopal Yadav took to his X account to inform about his death.

 

"I am informing you with great sorrow that my younger brother Rajpal Singh passed away untimely at 4 am today in Medanta Hospital, Gurgaon. His last rites will be performed in my native village Saifai this afternoon. May the Lord give peace to his soul," said the SP MP in a tweet. 

 

 

The mortal remains will be brought to the ancestral village today where it will be kept for people to pay their last respects. However, the exact time and date of the funeral is not known yet. 

 

Rajpal Yadav was among the five brothers of Samajwadi Party founder and patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav. He was the fourth sibling, younger than Mulayam Singh and elder to Shivpal Yadav who is the youngest of all the brothers. 

 

His son Anshul has been active in politics and has been elected unopposed as District Panchayat President for the second consecutive time. His wife, Premlata Yadav was the first woman from the family to step into politics in 2005. Following her was Shivpal Yadav's wife Sarla Yadav' Akhilesh Yadav's wife Dimple Yadav, and Prateek Yadav's wife Aparna Yadav.
