At least 13 First Information Reports have been filed against 140 social media handles for spreading 'misleading content' about the ongoing Maha Kumbh in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj, Maha Kumbh Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Vaibhav Krishna confirmed.

DIG Krishna also assured that all necessary arrangements have been made by the police for the upcoming Maha Shivratri festival on February 26.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday said that 62 crore devotees have visited the Maha Kumbh at Prayagraj so far.

Meanwhile, the Maha Kumbh Mela authorities have implemented extensive crowd control measures at Ayodhya Dham Railway Station to ensure smooth management and safety as a massive influx is anticipated for the last snan on Maha Shivratri.

Speaking to ANI, Deputy Superintendent of Police Yashwant Singh stated that devotees can now only go to the railway station platform when their train arrives.

"We have increased alertness ahead of the Mahakumbh 'snan' on Maha Shivratri. Additional security has been deployed here, after which the total number of personnel deployed is more than 350. Barricading has been done all around. A holding area has been set up and passengers are being brought here," DSP Singh emphasised.

He also said that regular announcements are being made to ensure people stay aware. Arrangements are also being made to ensure passengers' capacity on platforms does not exceed the capacity.

"We are making regular announcements for trains so that they stay aware. They are being given entry only after their train arrives at the platform. We are ensuring that the platform's passengers do not exceed its capacity. All arrangements are in place," he added.
