Zomato Q3 Results: Net Profit Declines 57% To Rs 59 Crore
This decline in profit has been attributed to increased expenses linked to the expansion of its quick commerce platform, Blinkit. However, despite the profit dip, Zomato's revenue saw major growth

Food delivery platform Zomato reported a 57 per cent decline in consolidated net profit, which stood at Rs 59 crore for the third quarter of FY25, compared to Rs 138 crore during the same period last year. This decline in profit has been attributed to increased expenses linked to the expansion of its quick commerce platform, Blinkit. However, despite the profit dip, Zomato's revenue saw substantial growth.
The company's revenue surged 64.9 per cent year-on-year, reaching Rs 5,405 crore in the October-December quarter, up from Rs 3,288 crore in Q3FY24. On a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) basis, Zomato's revenue rose by 12.6 per cent from Rs 4,799 crore.
Zomato reported a 128 per cent year-on-year (YoY) increase in consolidated Adjusted EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation), reaching Rs 285 crore in Q3 FY25. This growth was mainly driven by a rise in the food delivery adjusted EBITDA margin, which increased to 4.3 per cent of Gross Order Value (GOV), compared to 3.0 per cent a year earlier.
However, on a QoQ basis, consolidated Adjusted EBITDA fell by 14 per cent or Rs 45 crore. The decline was attributed to increased investments in expanding the quick commerce store network, which led to a rise in quarterly losses by Rs 95 crore despite the improved margins in food delivery, the company noted in an exchange filing on Monday.
Segment-wise Growth
Zomato reported its highest-ever revenue from operations, derived from its food ordering and delivery segment, which saw a 21.6 per cent YoY growth, reaching Rs 2,072 crore in Q3 FY25, up from Rs 1,704 crore in the same period last year.
The quick commerce segment saw a significant jump, with revenue doubling to Rs 1,399 crore in Q3 FY25, compared to Rs 644 crore in Q3 FY24.
Meanwhile, Zomato’s 'Going Out' segment saw its revenue nearly triple, rising to Rs 259 crore from Rs 73 crore during the same quarter last year.
In an exchange filing following the release of its Q3 performance, Zomato shared that it had opened 1,000 Blinkit stores across India this year. The company aims to expand this network to 2,000 stores by December 2025. Additionally, Zomato highlighted the launches of its District and Bistro mobile apps as part of its continued growth strategy.
