UP On Path Of A Developed State After Shedding 'Bimaru' Tag: CM Adityanath At FICCI Meet

The oldest industry association FICCI is holding its National Executive Committee Meeting (NECM) in Lucknow.

Uttar Pradesh has emerged from a long period of darkness and from being called a 'bimaru' state towards becoming a developed state, said Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday. While addressing the National Executive Meeting of FICCI in Lucknow, CM Adityanath also claimed that the northern state will soon emerge as the second-largest economy in the country.

"After 1985-86 Uttar Pradesh saw a long period of darkness in terms of development. The perception of the nation and world about Uttar Pradesh became very different. There was an identity crisis before the youth, businessmen, and citizens in the state. Today, under the guidance and leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh has managed to emerge from the darkness and from being a 'bimaru' state towards becoming a developed state," said Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, quoted by ANI.

"38 years later, FICCI is holding its National Executive Committee Meeting in Lucknow. I welcome all of you on behalf of the people of Uttar Pradesh. It's an important moment for me," Adityanath said during his address. He also said that we have made reforms with an open heart and open mind to remove all the barriers that were needed to grow the industry.

One of the most important things to grow the industries is less crime, he said, claiming that today, organised crimes are at zero. UP CM said that today, nobody can kidnap someone to demand ransom and nobody can shut down an industry at their will.
