Forbes World’s Billionaires List 2025: From Gautam Adani To Mukesh Ambani, Where Do Indian Tycoons Stand? Find Out

Forbes 2025 billionaire list is out, with 3028 billionaires worldwide and 205 are Indians. Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani and many more in list.

The Forbes Billionaire List 2025 is out, and Elon Musk tops the ranking with his net worth of $342 billion. Among the top 10 richest in the list, eight are from the United States. The list shows that there are 3028 billionaires globally, which is an increase of 247 compared to last year. The United States leads the list with 902 billionaires, followed by China (including Hong Kong) with 516, and India with 205.

The rankings were calculated using stock prices and exchange rates from March 7, 2025. The combined wealth of all billionaires is around $16.1 trillion.

Gautam Adani is the founder and chairman of Adani Group. His net worth has fallen from $116 billion in 2024 to $56.3 billion in the 2025 Forbes list.

The Adani Group mainly deals in the infrastructure and commodities industry. Gautam Adani is known as a self-made billionaire, distinguishing himself from other rich individuals in India.

Savitri Jindal  (Rank: #48 | Net worth: $35.5 Billion | Age: 75)

India’s wealthiest businesswoman and politician, Savitri Jindal, is the wife of the late O.P. Jindal. She currently serves as the chairperson of the company as well as an independent MLA from Hisar constituency in the Haryana Assembly.

The O. P. Jindal group is involved in steel production, mining, power generation, industrial gases, and port facilities.

Shiv Nadar  (Rank: #51 | Net worth: $34.5 Billion | Age: 79)

Tech tycoon and Padma Bhushan awardee, Shiv Nadar, is the founder of HCL. He has transformed the IT hardware industry in India. Currently the company works in areas of financial services, manufacturing, technology and IT services.

Recently, he diluted their stake in HCL Tech, gifting 47 per cent of his stake to his daughter Roshni Nadar.

Dilip Shanghvi (Rank: #75 | Net worth: $24.9 Billion | Age: 69)

Padma Shri awardee Dilip Shanghvi is a pioneer in the Indian pharmaceutical industry. He is the owner of Sun Pharma, which is also India's richest pharmaceutical company.

Shanghvi has transformed Sun Pharma from a small generic drug manufacturer into the sixth-largest generic pharmaceutical producer in the world.

Cyrus Poonawalla (Rank: #78 | Net worth: $23.9 Billion | Age: 83) 

India's "Vaccine King",  Cyrus Poonawalla, saw great success particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. Poonawalla is the richest man from Pune and the founder and chairman of Serum Institute of India, the world's largest vaccine manufacturer by volume.

Founder of DMart, Radhakrishan Damani, is also known as the "Retail King" of India. He is one of India's largest stock market investors.

Kushal Pal Singh (Rank: #114 | Net worth;$14.5 Billion | Age: 93)

A former Army officer, Kushal Pal Singh, built DLF City Gurgaon on the outskirts of Delhi and transformed DLF into India's largest real estate developer.

The combined wealth of all Indian billionaires stands at $941 billion, with the top 10 contributing nearly $337 billion — about one-third of the total. The commodities, tech, infrastructure, retail, pharmaceutical and real estate giant owners are leading in Forbes billionaire list 2025 in India.
