Dhanteras 2024: Quick Commerce Players Like Zepto, BigBasket Offer Customers Gold, Silver Coins Delivery In Under 10 Mins

The festival of Diwali begins today with Dhanteras. While Hindus consider Diwali to be an auspicious time to make any big purchases, Dhanteras is considered especially ideal for buying gold and silver in Indian households.

However, now customers in major cities are being provided the option to purchase gold and silver coins this Dhanteras from the comfort of their homes. Quick commerce players such as Swiggy Instamart, Zepto, Blinkit, and BigBasket are providing the consumers an option to buy gold and silver coins from the app and get it delivered to their doorstep in under 10 minutes.

This service has been launched by the platforms to capitalise on the demand in the festive season and the tradition of purchasing gold and silver on Dhanteras. For the service, BigBasket has partnered with Tanishq to deliver silver and gold coins featuring a Lakshmi (the Goddess of Wealth and Prosperity) motif, reported Business Standard.

At the same time, Blinkit has joined hands with Joyalukkas and Malabar Gold & Diamonds to provide the service, while Swiggy Instamart and Nek by Jar, Muthoot Exim, and Malabar have come together. Zepto has also teamed up with Malabar and Augmont for the occasion.

This isn’t the first time that quick commerce players have ventured into the gold and silver coins delivery as earlier this year on Akshaya Tritiya, many companies offered the same service.

 While BigBasket is offering customers a selection from Tanishq which includes two 22K gold coins of 1 gram, a 10-gram silver coin of 999.9 purity, Zepto’s lineup includes a 999 Pure Lakshmi Ganesh silver coin of 10 grams from Malabar, and a 24K Banyan Tree Gold Coin from Augmont.

 Customers can choose from Jar 24K gold coins on Swiggy Instamart, available in weights of 0.1 gram, 0.5 gram, and more, Muthoot Exim’s 24K gold coin, and a 24K gold coin from Malabar.
