Cryptocurrency Price Today: Ethereum Rises Above $1,700, Decred Gains Over 90 Percent
Cryptocurrency price on August 6 quick take: The global crypto market cap stood at $1.10 trillion on Saturday morning.
Ethereum (ETH), the world’s second most value cryptocurrency after Bitcoin (BTC), managed to rise above the $1,700 mark on early Saturday. BTC, on the other hand, managed to remain above the $23,000 mark, not registering a major change in value over the past 24 hours. Other popular altcoins, including the likes of Dogecoin (DOGE), Ripple (XRP), and Solana (SOL) all saw a mixed bag of gains and losses across the board. Among lesser-known altcoins, the Decred (DCR) token saw the highest 24-hour gain, while the Waves (WAVES) token turned out to be the biggest loser.
At the time of writing, the global crypto market cap stood at $1.10 trillion as per CoinMarketCap data, registering a 24-hour gain of 1.40 percent.
Bitcoin (BTC) price today
At the time of writing, BTC was priced at $23,129.04. As per CoinMarketCap, Bitcoin saw a 24-hour dip of 0.03 percent. As per Indian exchange WazirX, BTC price stood at Rs 18.60 lakhs.
Ethereum (ETH) price today
With a 24-hour gain of 4.57 percent, ETH price stood at $1,733.75. As per WazirX, Ethereum price in India stood at Rs 1.38 lakhs.
Dogecoin (DOGE) price today
DOGE saw a 24-hour gain of 2.53 percent as per CoinMarketCap data, currently priced at $0.0701. As per WazirX, Dogecoin price in India stood at Rs 5.56.
Litecoin (LTC) price today
Litecoin registered a gain of 0.03 percent over the past 24 hours. At the time of writing, it was priced at $61.63. LTC price in India stood at Rs 4,946.25.
