ATF Price Cut By 6 Per Cent In Delhi; Lowest Levels Since April 2024

The price of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) in Delhi has been reduced by 6 per cent, bringing the cost down from Rs 93,480 to Rs 87,597 per kiloliter as of Tuesday. This marks the lowest ATF price since April 2024, offering some relief to airlines.
Last month, jet fuel prices in Delhi were reduced by 4.6 per cent, lowering the cost to Rs 93,480.22 per kiloliter, following two consecutive price hikes in August. Prior to that, there was a significant 6.5 per cent price drop in June. The latest increase in the price of commercial LPG comes after a Rs 39 hike per 19-kg cylinder during the previous monthly revision, driven by international oil price trends.

Airline operators such as InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo) and SpiceJet saw their shares rise by over 5 per cent in early trading on October 1, following the announcement of the ATF price reduction.
In tandem with the ATF price cut, oil marketing companies have also revised the prices of commercial Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders. The price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has been increased by Rs 48.5, while the cost of a 5-kg Free Trade LPG cylinder has risen by Rs 12. These changes are effective immediately.
Oil marketing companies (OMCs) have announced an immediate price hike for commercial LPG gas cylinders, a decision that will affect businesses. The increase comes just before major festivals like Dussehra and Diwali. The price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has been raised by Rs 48.50, while the cost of 5 kg Free Trade LPG cylinders has gone up by Rs 12. However, the price of domestic LPG cylinders remains unchanged, with the 14 kg cylinder still priced at Rs 803.
