Skoda Kodiaq 2025 Old Vs New: Check The Dimensions, Features And Engines

The new Kodiaq is larger of course and looks sleeker while some elements from the design have been maintained, the Kodiaq looks less boxy now

Skoda will most likely launch the new generation Kodiaq here by early next year and in this new generation form, it has now grown and also added more luxury too. Here we do a quick comparison of this 7-seater premium SUV with the present version.

The new Kodiaq is larger of course and looks sleeker while some elements from the design have been maintained, the Kodiaq looks less boxy now. Length wise, the current Kodiaq stands at 4699 mm, while the new one has a length of 4758 mm. The new Kodiaq gets LED Matrix headlamps too and the rear has connected tail-lamps.

Bigger wheels and a streamlined look enables the new Kodiaq to have the look of a much more expensive SUV. Inside, the new Kodiaq has 7-seats with more space and flexibility. There is a larger 13-inch screen over the 8inch unit of the current model plus a new digital instrument cluster plus a heads-up display. Positioned below the infotainment screen are the new Skoda Smart Dials which have the controls to the various functions.

The gear selector is also now mounted on the steering column while the console is also new. The interior now looks more premium while there are sustainable materials being used as well. Interestingly, there are Ergo seats with a pneumatic massage function which are available as an option on the global model.

Globally, there is a new plug-in hybrid and a 1.5 turbo petrol with mild hybrid but India will most likely get a 2.0 TSI engine with 204hp with a DSG automatic as standard. Hence, like the current Kodiaq, the 2.0l TSI engine will continue with more power but the big change with the Kodiaq now is the sleeker looks, more technology and the bigger size plus more features like ADAS.

Prices could climb to Rs 45-50 lakh for the new Kodiaq while it will continue to rival the Hyundai Tucson, Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian and more.
