New Delhi: The wait is over for those who have made reservations to buy Ola Electric's S1 scooter! The automaker will officially start selling its electric scooters, the S1 and S1 Pro from Wednesday (September 8, 2021) from 6 pm onwards.
How to buy Ola Electric Scooter?
While announcing the sales of electric scooters on eve of Electric Vehicle Day, Ola Electric tweeted, "India celebrates EV Day early, the purchase of the Ola Scooter starts at 6 p.m today! Flag of India."
Those who have made reservations will get a notification in an email, SMS, or push notification once the purchase window opens up, said the company.
They can make further payments and buy the scooter of their dream. The process to purchase an Ola Electric S1 scooter is fully online.
“No visiting showrooms, no running around, nothing. Purchasing early gets you priority delivery.
Also, the window stays open only until stocks last,” according to the Ola Electric blog. Buyers have the option to choose between 10 colours for the two variants -- Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro. Test rides and deliveries of the Ola e-scooter will begin in October.
In absence of dealerships, Ola electric scooters have to be purchased online. To purchase the vehicle, one has to visit the website and book the scooter at a refundable price of Rs 499.
- Click on the 'Reserve' tab and you have to choose between Ola S1 and S1 Pro. And then select a colour.
- Then one needs to type the Ola-registered number at the site and book the scooter by making an online payment of Rs 499.
- Keep checking the waiting list to check your order status.
What is the pricing of the scooter?
Ola S1 is priced at Rs 99,999 and Ola S1 Pro is priced at Rs 1,29,999. EMIs for the Ola e-scooter begin from Rs 2,999 for the S1 variant and Rs 3,199 for the S1 Pro variant.
The company has tied up with HDFC, IDFC First Bank, and TATA Capital to offer loans for its scooters. HDFC will provide pre-approved loans to customers on the Ola and Ola Electric apps whereas TATA Capital and IDFC First Bank will process digital KYCs and provide instant loan approvals.
