Nissan Magnite Facelift 2024: First Review Of The Affordable SUV Starting Under Rs 6 Lakh

The Magnite has been around for a while and finally it has received an extensive facelift but the changes here are largely limited to the cosmetics. The Magnite facelift also does not have any price increase as such and starts from under Rs 6 lakh which makes it one of the most affordable SUVs to date.

This price though is for the first 10,000 deliveries. The turbo petrol Magnite meanwhile starts from Rs 9.19 lakh while the CVT is the most affordable as it starts from Rs 9.7 lakh. The top-end Magnite CVT turbo is Rs 11.5 lakh.

The front of the Magnite now has the higher share of the changes with a larger grille and a different gloss black treatment plus it also blends with the headlamps more. This gives it more presence at the front while the bumper is also tweaked which has a larger skid plate.

The DRLs remain the same but the headlamps are updated. We also like the new 16-inch alloys which sharpen up the stance while from the side nothing else has changed. Rear meanwhile gets new LED light signatures plus this Sunrise Cooper colour we think freshens up the look more. Inside, it's not all drab and all black unlike the last Magnite and it looks better. There is a dual tone look throughout which is nice while the basic design stays pretty much the same.

What is new though is the steering with a gloss black look while the design is a bit more premium now. What is also updated is the digital instrument cluster while the touchscreen, 360 degree camera, climate control, AC vents remain. Additions include a new auto dimming IRVM, new type-C charging and a new i-key where there is a remote key fob plus an ioniser. The Magnite still does not get a sunroof though or cooled seats.

The 1.0 NA and the 1.0l turbo petrol engines continue as do the AMT/CVT options along with a standard manual for both. The prices being kept the same is a good thing and the Magnite remains a value for money offering that is now better equipped.
