Ford's comeback to the Indian market has been getting a steady amount of buzz while now Ford could be readying a slew of new SUVs for our market although of course, any confirmation regarding India entry is yet to be given. That said, the Ford Territory seems like another SUV which would fit in our market below the full sized Endeavour.

 

The new Ford Territory is a 5-seater SUV and is smaller than the Endeavour while being a crossover of sorts. The new generation model wears slim LEDs along with 19inch wheels while the larger grille along with the sharper looks do make it a handsome design even if it has less of a road presence than the new Endeavour.

 

 

There is a 1.8L GTDI EcoBoost and a standard 7-speed automatic transmission while it is tuned for everyday driveability. Inside, there are dual screens with a clutter free cabin layout including a 12.3-inch touchscreen along with all of the usual tech. The Territory could be a spacious rival to premium SUVs while being placed at a segment which would accompany the new Endeavour.

 

 

While again nothing is confirmed regarding the new Endeavour launch or even the Territory launch, we think these two SUVs make sense for our market.

 

Most likely Ford will return with a line-up of CBU products at first to kickstart its India operations with the Endeavour while local assembly could come in later. SUVs like the Territory also make sense for our market in terms of being a spacious urban SUV.
