Auto Expo 2023: New Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 Showcased In India

The Land Cruiser LC300 is 200kgs lighter than the earlier generation while getting an off-road multi-terrain select and a multi-terrain monitor where you can check conditions via four cameras.

One of the most talked about SUVs in the world has made its India debut with the new LC300 Land Cruiser SUV having been showcased at the Auto Expo 2023. The Land Cruiser is a famous SUV. It currently has a long waiting list world over including India. The new generation Land Cruiser is muscular and butch while it gets new premium styling like slimmer headlamps plus tail-lamps along with a different front-end.

It is still quite huge and has a lot of presence but is more of a luxury SUV now. The bigger change is on the inside with a larger touchscreen and more importantly, a lot more technology than before. It now gets basic features but also a 14-speaker audio system by JBL along with more premium materials. It still gets a part digital instrument cluster, which is better for off-roading in terms of being more clear. Rather interestingly, the new Land Cruiser gets fingerprint authentication also and is the first Toyota to get it. 

While being available with a three-row seating configuration abroad, the India spec version comes with 5-seats. The Land Cruiser LC300 is 200kgs lighter than the earlier generation while getting an off-road multi-terrain select and a multi-terrain monitor where you can check conditions via four cameras.

In terms of engines, the Land Cruiser worldwide gets a 3.5-litre V6 twin-turbo gasoline engine, with a maximum output of 305 kW (415 PS) and a maximum torque of 650 Nm. For India, though there is a diesel engine with a 3.3-litre V6 twin-turbo diesel engine which gets 309PS. In terms of the gearbox, there is a 10-speed automatic.

The Land Cruiser is worldwide known for its off-road performance and in India, its celebrity status amongst SUVs also means that it has a long waiting period for cars.
