The luxury car of the year has to move the goalposts in terms of how luxury is perceived and how it has evolved to fit the modern-day world. The new generation Range Rover shows exactly that and becomes a paradigm shift in luxury motoring. Here is an SUV that eclipses other luxury cars in terms of the sheer comfort features while also understanding what luxury is all about. The new Range Rover has a minimalistic design that is not too over complicated with sleek surfaces and fewer lines on the side or at the rear. There is also a 35-speaker Meridian audio system plus everything is controlled via touch including the rear seat entertainment to even the rear console or the cup holders too! Then India gets the long wheelbase version which brings in a vast amount of space and the ability to stretch out like you are in a private jet.
Sustainability is also important and the new Range Rover uses a blend of textile wool which makes the leather free along with giving an alternative to leather. The driving experience mirrors a luxury car and its ability to waft over difficult terrain where luxury sedans would normally falter. The car gets an array of mild hybrid powertrains but the refinement and the ease at which the Range Rover covers ground is what makes it a winner in this highly contested category. In short, the Range Rover is now a luxury car which you can take anywhere and won the 'Luxury car of the year award'.
