New Hyundai Creta To Maruti Swift: Top Five Upcoming Cars In India In 2024
The top 5 new car launches expected in 2024 will come with new generation changes and some with evolutionary updates.
2024 promises to be another action-packed year for new car buyers, with numerous important launches coming our way, including new SUVs and hatchbacks. Here, we focus on the top 5 new car launches expected in 2024, including some with new generation changes and some with evolutionary updates, while examining what each car-maker will bring to satiate market demands.
New Hyundai Creta
The new Creta will not be like the Creta facelift for other markets, as India gets a different version with the styling tuned to our tastes. The new Creta will sport a new design language that mimics the bigger global Hyundai SUVs. The talking point would be the new powertrains and the interior. Expect the new Creta to feature additions such as a 360-degree camera, ADAS, and 18-inch wheels. Of course, the new Creta will get a more powerful 1.5L turbo petrol engine, along with the current line-up of the 1.5L petrol and a 1.5L diesel.
New Maruti Swift
The new Swift undergoes a generation change while retaining its essence in terms of styling. It focuses on new features and a new engine. The new Swift will also be more practical and feature a modern cabin design, with the evolutionary styling tweaked to make it more premium. A new three-cylinder petrol engine will increase fuel efficiency further, and it will continue to offer manual and AMT gearbox options.
Tata Curvv
The Curvv will be coming to India in an EV form initially, with a range of 400-500 km and many design cues already seen on the new Nexon EV. The Curvv is a bigger SUV coupe that would be placed above the Nexon and would serve as its first SUV coupe of sorts. The interiors would be feature-packed, and it would have more power than a Nexon EV, positioning itself as the flagship electric offering from Tata Motors.
Mahindra Thar 5-door
After much speculation, the Thar 5-door is finally coming in 2024. However, it won't simply be a Thar with an extra pair of doors. The Thar 5-door will be more luxurious and will have a different styling theme compared to the regular Thar, with more premium features on offer. The 5-door version will also be more practical and appeal to families, while the engine options will remain the same, although a significant price increase over the 3-door version is expected.
Citroen C3X Sedan
Citroen will launch an interesting product in India with the C3X sedan, which is more of a crossover with a sedan shape. It will feature a radical styling theme yet also have a healthy amount of ground clearance, similar to a conventional SUV. The talking point here is going to be the looks, while the engine option will be similar to the C3 Aircross. However, the interiors are expected to be more premium than the current Citroen cars.
