IMD Issues Yellow Alert For Several Districts In Telangana, Predicts Heavy Rains In Andhra Pradesh

Amaravati Meteorological Center has announced that there will be moderate to heavy rains in AP for the next two days.

With the retreat of the southwest monsoon, many states are witnessing moderate to heavy rains. Moderate rains occurred at several places in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on Sunday.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that ajacent to coastal Andhra, two separate subsurface cycles continue in the West-Central Bay of Bengal and North-Eastern Bay of Bengal. The met center said that the second circulation would merge with the circulation over the west-central Bay of Bengal on Monday. Due to this influence, there will be rains with thunder and lightning in Andhra Pradesh for the next two days. Light showers to moderate rain are forecast in Telangana.

The Regional Meteorological Center (Hyderabad) has said that there will be moderate to heavy rains in Telangana for the next two days. The Hyderabad Meteorological Center has issued a yellow alert for many districts in Telangana.

Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahbubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanapet, and Jogulamba Gadwal districts are likely to experience heavy rains on Monday. Meteorological officials have issued a yellow alert for these districts and alerted the people. Winds will blow at a speed of 8 to 12 km per hour. Along with Rangareddy district, GHMC and some parts of Hyderabad city are forecasted to rain.

Amaravati Meteorological Center has announced that there will be moderate to heavy rains in Andhra Pradesh for the next two days. Along with Tekkali in Srikakulam district, northern parts of Kakinada district will also receive rains. Vizianagaram and Parvathipuram Manyam districts may receive scattered showers. 

The Regional Meteorological Center (Amaravati) said that moderate to heavy rainfall would be recorded in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh for the next two days. IMD said there would be rains in Guntur, NTR, Nellore and Prakasam districts along the Ongolu-Singarayakonda belt.
