Trump lands in Seoul
Seoul [South Korea], Nov. 7 (ANI): United States President Donald Trump arrived in South Korean capital Seoul on Tuesday on a two-day official visit.
According to CNN, President Trump's arrival in South Korea was accompanied by a major show of force in the Pacific Ocean.
As per the report, the U.S. Navy said that in the coming days, they will be conducting a mock battle in waters in the region.
The North Korean government termed the announcement as a direct provocative action that could "ignite another Korean War."
"Nobody knows when and how the 'war maniac' Trump will ignite the 'wick of war," Pyongyang said, referring to the presence of American naval carriers in the vicinity of the Korean Peninsula.
Yesterday, President Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe met with 14 family members of those Japanese kidnapped by Pyongyang in the 1970s and 1980s at the State Guest House in Tokyo's Akasaka district.
Later in the day, President Trump told reporters that he had heard "very, very sad" stories about the victims and assured, "We will work with Prime Minister Abe on trying to get them back to their loved ones."
President Trump also underscored America's "solidarity" with Japan against "the North Korean menace," at a joint news conference with PM Abe.
