NAB's silence over Khawaja Asif baffles Imran Khan

Islamabad [Pakistan], Feb 28 (ANI): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday said that he is baffled by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) not taking action against Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif despite having been provided with ample evidence of his misdoings.

The Express Tribune quoted the PTI Chief as saying that the NAB's silence over proof of corruption and money laundering is baffling and mind-boggling for him.

PTI leader Usman Dar also met with Imran to discuss the NAB's lack of action on PTI's petition against Asif.

Imran as Usman to meet the NAB chairman Javed Iqbal along with a PTI delegation in regard to the situation and claimed that Usman Dar has all the bank transactions of Asif and his wife.

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) is scheduled to hear Asif's Iqama case on March 1.

Earlier on January 30, the PTI had decided to initiate legal proceedings against Asif at different forums, citing the Foreign Minister a security risk. (ANI)
