India, US commit to jointly combating terrorism

New Delhi [India], August 13 (ANI): The United States Ambassador to India, Kenneth I. Juster along with other officials of the embassy called on Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju here on Monday, and reiterated the strong resolve of both India and US to jointly counter threats posed by terrorism and world peace.

In this regard, Juster expressed his country's keenness to continue the ongoing Homeland Security Dialogue between India and the US for a concrete conclusion. The two sides also discussed measures to further strengthen Indo-US ties during the meeting.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Juster shared images of the meeting and said that he held a productive meeting with Rijiju.

"Productive meeting with @KirenRijiju, Minister of State (Home), on the strategic importance of the #USIndia relationship and the excellent cooperation in the areas of law enforcement and security," he wrote on the micro-blogging site.

Rijiju, too, took to Twitter to acknowledge the meeting with the US Envoy and said fruitful discussions were held on wide-ranging security and other issues to strengthen Indo-US relations.
