Chinese envoy had no impact on Little Rocket Man: Trump

Washington D.C. [United States], Nov 30 (ANI): United States President Donald Trump has stated that the "Chinese Envoy, who just returned from North Korea", apparently have "had no impact on Little Rocket Man," referring to the North Korea's leader Kim Jong-un.

"The Chinese Envoy, who just returned from North Korea, seems to have had no impact on Little Rocket Man. Hard to believe his people, and the military, put up with living in such horrible conditions. Russia and China condemned the launch," Trump tweeted.

This comes in the backdrop of Pyongyang's latest missile launch.

China dispatched an envoy to North Korea earlier this month after Trump met with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing, reported the Hill.

Earlier, Trump, in a tweet, had dubbed China's decision to send a special envoy to North Korea as "a big move".

"China is sending an Envoy and Delegation to North Korea - A big move, we'll see what happens!" Trump had tweeted.

North Korea said that it successfully tested a powerful new ICBM that put the entire U.S. mainland within range of its nuclear weapons.

This is North Korea's first missile attack since September 15, when it fired an intermediate-range missile.

On Wednesday, Trump announced new sanctions on North Korea after having a telephonic conversation with his Chinese counterpart Xi.

The White House said that Trump "emphasized the need for China to use all available levers to convince North Korea to end its provocations and return to the path of denuclearization" during his call with Xi.

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley on Wednesday also called on China to cut off its oil supply to North Korea. (ANI)
