6 civilians killed in car bombing

Tripoli [Libya], May 25 (ANI): Six civilians, including a child, lost their lives and more than 20 were injured in a car bombing incident in Libya's Benghazi city on Friday.

As reported by Anadolu agency, the bomb was planted on Jamal street in central Benghazi which led to casualties.

The injured were admitted to Al-Jalaa and Benghazi hospitals, as per security forces spokesperson Captain Tarek al-Khazar.

Meanwhile, an exhibition on Syrian industries was underway at the bombing site.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.

Libya has been a conflict-ridden territory since the death of its former President Gaddafi in 2011 which was followed by a violent uprising across the country. (ANI)
