Twarit Mahanagar: MNS workers break roads with spades to protest against potholes in Mumbai
As most of the parts of the country are submerged in water due to incessant rains, causing loss to lives and property, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena workers on Monday resorted to their ‘unique’ way of protest against Mumbai potholes.
MNS workers in protest against authorities broke the roads with hammers and spade in front of the Mantralaya.
Where on one hand, several lives have already been claimed by potholes; digging the roads and ruining them further is likely to only add to the problem.
Violence has been the usual style of MNS workers to press the government for getting something done.
Heavy rains have lashed major parts of the country in past few days and potholes have been one of the major reasons for deaths.
The task of filling potholes falls under BMC, but the municipal body has so far not done enough to curb the issue.
