Will US end all its ties with China due to Coronavirus pandemic?

In a response to a question asked by a journalist, the President of the United States stunned one and all. Donald Trump was asked how would he give a befitting reply to China amid Coronavirus pandemic. To this he said, that US would end all its ties with China. He further added, "Like this, we will save $ 500 billion!"
But what will happen if Trump ends supply chain from China? How will it affect the world?
