PM Modi Moscow Visit: Bilateral talks between PM Modi and President Putin begin in Moscow

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Moscow, Russia on Monday (8 July). During this, PM Narendra Modi was honored by giving guard of honour. To welcome PM Modi, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov received him and formally welcomed him. During this period many other leaders and senior military officers were present. Before leaving for summit talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin amid the conflict in Ukraine, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said India wants to play a collaborative role for a peaceful and stable region.

Russian President Vladimir Putin will host a private dinner for the Indian Prime Minister tonight ahead of their talks at the 22nd India-Russia summit in Moscow on Tuesday. This is the first visit of the Indian Prime Minister to Russia since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. This is Modi's first bilateral foreign visit to Russia since 2019 and also the first bilateral foreign visit of his third term.
