Uttarakhand Byelection Results: Counting Of Votes Underway For 2 Assembly Seats, Congress In Lead | ABP News
Vote counting for by-elections in 13 assembly constituencies across seven states began on Saturday. The bypolls, held on July 10 2024, took place in 7 states - West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, and Madhya Pradesh. This was the first electoral exercise since the Lok Sabha elections, where the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) failed to secure a majority, and the opposition bloc, I.N.D.I.A, gained strength and improved their tally in the Lower House. The results of these bypolls are being closely watched, as they may indicate the shifting political landscape and the momentum of the opposition ahead of future elections. In Uttarakhand, Congress is leading in both assembly seats Badrinath and Manglaur.
