Spiritual Surge: Devotees Throng Shiva Temples Across India On Last Sawan Monday
On the final Monday of Sawan, a wave of spiritual devotion swept across the country as devotees gathered in large numbers at Shiva temples to offer prayers and seek blessings. From Kashi Vishwanath in Varanasi to Mahakaleshwar in Ujjain, the energy was palpable. In Ujjain, the day began with the sacred Bhasma Aarti, drawing massive crowds eager to witness the divine ritual.At Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar, thousands of Shiva bhakts raised chants of “Har Har Mahadev”, forming long queues since the early morning hours. Devotees performed Jalabhishek and offered belpatra and flowers to Lord Bholenath.In Gorakhpur, devotees packed into Mukteshwar Nath temple, and similar scenes unfolded in Prayagraj’s Kameshwar Nath temple, where an overwhelming flow of faith was seen.Further west, Jaipur’s Jharkhand Mahadev temple also witnessed a sea of devotees. Meanwhile, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, the Stambeshwar Mahadev Temple, known for its unique tidal submergence, welcomed pilgrims from dawn.Across India, the last Monday of Sawan was marked by devotion, chanting, and religious fervor, reflecting an unshakable spiritual bond between devotees and Lord Shiva.
