Seedha Sawaal: Why no action on Himanshi’s trolling? When will digital terrorists face law?

During a television debate, multiple political voices strongly criticized the organized online trolling and hateful comments directed at a woman named Himanshi, calling it digital terrorism. Haryana Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan praised her bravery, comparing it to another brave youth, Vinay. Questions were raised about BJP leadership’s silence, especially J.P. Nadda and RSS figures. Comparisons were made to the 2017 Gurmehar Kaur incident, asserting that dissenters are often vilified and shamed. The panel condemned the communal hatred spreading in the name of religion, referencing violent events like the Pahalgam attack. Concerns were raised about selective legal action against influencers while known troll accounts linked to political figures go unpunished. The speakers demanded firm action against digital abusers, asking why the police and government remain silent. One panelist called it a “digital war” orchestrated by enemies of India, stressing that Muslims, Kashmiris, and brave citizens have also sacrificed for the nation and deserve respect.
