Sambhal Violence Update: Police has intensified its investigation into the violence in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh. Police has so far identified more than 100 stone pelters in the videos obtained from mobile, CCTV and drone cameras. Out of these, 27 accused have been arrested. Some minor boys are also included in these. Police is carrying forward its investigation keeping in mind many angles and questions regarding the violence.
SP Krishna Kumar clearly said that whoever has raised stones on the police will definitely be sent to jail. No action will be taken against any innocent. Police is carrying forward the investigation keeping many questions in mind.
Investigation is being done from the angle of these questions
First - Police is investigating that on whose orders the crowd gathered around Jama Masjid on the day of violence?
Second - Who instigated the crowd present on the spot to violence? To investigate this, the police is collecting mobile data information in the surrounding areas so that it can be ascertained how many mobile numbers were active at the time of violence and the police is also collecting their data and dump data, which is an important part of the police investigation.
Third - Sambhal police is recovering the footage of CCTV cameras broken by rioters during the violence by seizing their DVRs. So that the rioters can be identified.
Fourth - Sambhal police has so far sent 27 mobile phones to the forensic lab for investigation so that the deleted data from these phones can be recovered and it can be ascertained whether the riots were planned before the violence.
Fifth - Sambhal police has identified some social media handles, some WhatsApp chats and groups have also been found in which people have been asked to gather at the mosque. Now the police is investigating the video messages posted by these social media handles.
Sixth- Sambhal police has formed a special team to investigate the footage of CCTV cameras, mobile videos and drone cameras at the time of violence so that the accused can be identified.
Seventh- Sambhal police will soon record the statements of local people in the case of violence that took place on Sunday so that further action can be taken.
Police arrested 27 accused
Police has so far arrested 27 accused in this case. These include three women as well. The names of SP MP Ziaur Rahman Barq and MLA Iqbal Mahmood's son Suhail Iqbal are involved in the Sambhal violence. After this, a case was also registered on the complaint of the families of the four youths killed in the Sambhal violence.
