Rift between police & protesters at Varanasi's Baniabagh against CAA-NRC

Varanasi's Baniabagh has become another Shaheen Bagh with people protesting heavily against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC).

According to a recent report, protestors there pelted stones on the police in anger and police turned had to retort to lathicharge to disperse the crowd. A rift was also reported between protesters and police in the area. Watch this report.
