Rahul Gandhi's Sambhal Visit: Massive Crowd of Workers at Delhi-UP Border!

In the midst of political controversy over the Sambhal violence, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has announced plans to visit the violence-affected area. Congress MP and party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi is also expected to join him in Sambhal. During the visit, they will meet with the families affected by the violence. Many party workers from Delhi’s Ghazipur Border and Meerut are likely to join their convoy. Meanwhile, the administration has taken measures to prevent Rahul Gandhi’s visit, including the installation of barricades at the Ghazipur Border. Rahul Gandhi will depart for Sambhal from Delhi at 10 a.m. today, accompanied by all six Congress MPs, with Rahul leading the group. Party general secretary and state in-charge Avinash Pandey will also be part of the visit. Congress workers began gathering at the Delhi-UP border early in the morning. Meanwhile, Congress state president Ajay Rai raised questions about the attempts to stop them from going to Sambhal, asking, "Why are we being stopped from going to Sambhal? Why are we not being allowed?" In response to Rahul Gandhi’s visit, the administration has also made preparations. Security has been increased at the UP borders, with police deployed at every corner. Sambhal’s District Magistrate, Rajendra Pansiya, has written letters to neighboring districts and issued instructions to stop Rahul Gandhi at the border. Police have been stationed at the Ghaziabad UP border. Additionally, the administration has imposed a ban on any outsiders entering Sambhal until December 10 under Section 163 of the BNS. As a result, Rahul Gandhi has not been granted permission to visit Sambhal. Given these circumstances, there could be a tussle between Congress and the police. In Rampur, police intercepted Congress leaders attempting to travel to Delhi. Acting on orders from the top leadership, police detained senior Congress leader Mutiurrahman Bablu late at night while en route to the Sambhal visit.
