Ministers To Meet In Goa To Review GST Rates And Simplify Tax Structure | Paisa Live

A long-awaited change in GST rates may soon become a reality as a group of ministers will meet in Goa from September 24th to 25th to review and potentially adjust GST rates. This group is tasked with making GST more reasonable, addressing a demand to reduce the number of GST slabs from four to three. The ministers will review the GST rates of 70 to 100 items, with the possibility of increasing taxes on some products while decreasing them on others. The goal is to ensure that widely consumed items are not significantly impacted by these changes. The meeting aims to bring about more reasonable GST rates to simplify the tax structure, potentially benefiting both consumers and businesses.
