Mahadangal: Is the EC Shielding Vijay Sinha? Mahadangal Asks the Tough Questions | ABP NEWS

In a fiery debate on Mahadangal, serious questions were raised about the credibility of the Election Commission (EC) after allegations surfaced regarding duplicate voter ID cards held by Bihar Deputy CM Vijay Sinha. The controversy intensified when RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav accused the EC of bias and manipulation under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. The BJP's Dr. Ajay Alok defended Vijay Sinha, confirming he had two EPIC numbers but claimed one was already requested for cancellation in April 2024. However, questions arose on why the request came after the final electoral roll was released in January. RJD spokesperson Priyanka Bharti countered by accusing the EC of selectively acting and even challenged the authenticity of voter IDs shown during Tejashwi’s press conference. Further, allegations about mismatched ages, and 250+ voters registered at one address in Muzaffarpur, pointed to deep flaws in the SIR process. The debate turned heated as both parties exchanged accusations of fraud, cover-ups, and manipulation. With the Supreme Court also demanding verifiable cases, this voter ID storm could have serious implications for electoral credibility ahead of the next elections.
