Kulgam Terror Attack: Two Migrant Workers Shot Dead in Jammu & Kashmir
A terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district claimed the lives of two migrant workers after terrorists opened fire on them in Kilan village. The victims, who sustained critical injuries, were rushed to a hospital but later succumbed to their wounds. The attack has drawn widespread condemnation from political leaders. BJP leader Ravinder Raina described the assault as a cowardly act by Pakistan-backed terrorists and demanded strict punishment for those responsible. Meanwhile, opposition parties questioned the government's security claims. The Congress asked what happened to assurances that terrorism had declined after the abrogation of Article 370, while the Trinamool Congress criticized the Centre over unresolved investigations into previous attacks, including Pulwama. One of the deceased, Deepak Ratre, was a resident of Sakti district in Chhattisgarh who had been working at a brick kiln in Kashmir to support his family. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai expressed deep sorrow over the incident, offered condolences to the bereaved family, and assured that the state government stands firmly with the victims' families during this difficult time.
