Gurugram Rain Alert: District Administration Advises Corporate Employees to Work From Home

Heavy rain in Gurugram has prompted the district administration to issue an advisory urging employees of corporate offices and private institutions to work from home. The move follows around 60 mm of rainfall, which caused severe waterlogging, traffic jams and disruption across several parts of the city. Although the situation has improved as rain temporarily stopped and accumulated water drained from many roads, the IMD has issued an Orange Alert, warning of further rainfall. Authorities fear that another spell of heavy rain could quickly bring back waterlogging and traffic problems. In Noida, several areas also witnessed water accumulation following the previous day’s heavy rainfall. Officials are monitoring the situation as weather conditions remain uncertain. The administration’s work-from-home advisory is aimed at reducing traffic pressure and preventing commuters from facing difficulties if heavy rain returns. Residents have been urged to remain cautious and follow weather-related advisories.
