EC slaps notice to Mamata Banerjee for seeking votes on communal ground | Audio Bulletin
The Election Commission has sent a notice to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over alleged violation of the model code in a speech where she urged Muslims to unite and vote for Trinamool Congress (TMC).
The poll panel has asked the Chief Minister to respond in 48 hours. The notice against CM Mamata comes after BJP members met the poll officials seeking action over the matter. The saffron party alleged that Mamata Banerjee in her speech promoted enmity between Hindus and Muslims.
