At least 8 to 9 labourers working at the site near Silai Band are reported missing, triggering an ongoing rescue operation by NDRF and district authorities. As a precaution, the Uttarakhand administration has suspended the Char Dham Yatra for 24 hours, halting pilgrimages to Badrinath, Kedarnath, Yamunotri, and Gangotri.
