Chandigarh IPS Y Puran Kumar Suicide: FIR Filed Against 15 Senior Officers, Including Haryana DGP Shatrujeet Kapoor | ABP News

An FIR has been registered in Chandigarh in connection with the suicide of IPS officer Y Puran Kumar, following a complaint by his wife. The FIR includes charges of abetment to suicide and a case under the SC/ST Act. Police confirmed that the case names several senior officers mentioned in Puran Kumar’s eight-page suicide note, including the DGP, Additional DGP, Chief Secretary, and Additional Chief Secretary-level officials. His wife specifically cited the DGP and Rohtak SP in the complaint. The SC Commission has taken cognizance and requested an action taken report from the Chief Secretary and DGP within a week. The investigation is under intense scrutiny and may lead to action against several Haryana IAS and IPS officers.
